Happy Father's Day

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usFor Father's Day, Jamie and I took Deanna to Vero Beach to surprise Jamie's family. With the help of Jamie's sister, Jess, it was a success. No one had any idea that we were coming. It was a nice afternoon. Deanna had a lot of fun playing with Josh and Emmie and all of their toys. As you can see from some of the pictures, Deanna has mastered sitting up. She also loves rolling around and scoots to reach her toys. A "Whale" of a Time

We went over to Art and Katie's house on Sunday afternoon so that Deanna could play in the pool with the other kids. Deanna was very content hanging out in her new whale floatie. You can't tell from the pictures, but Deanna was kicking and pumping her legs in the water. This could be a sign that swimming lessons are right around the corner! The reason that Deanna is chewing on her floatie in most of the pictures is because her teeth are coming through! Playtime with Amber and Haley

Deanna and I met up with Amber (lil' sorority sis) and her daughter Haley (11 months old) at the outlets in St. Augustine. We met up for a "Girls Day Out", to go shopping of course. We ended up spending more money on the little ones than on anything else. I mean, let's get serious, how can you pass up a cute pink jumper with the matching bow??!!! I think I made my point. We had a great time playing with the girls. Deanna was a little cranky because her teeth are coming in (3 teeth at once, stay tuned for updates on that). Posted by Picasa

First Time at the Dog Park

It had been a long time since we have been able to take the dogs to the Dog Park, so we decided to be courageous today. We packed everyone up in the car and went out there. We figured it was about time to get Deanna used to seeing and hearing other dogs. (Cool Fact - Paw Park in Sanford was rated America's #2 best Dog Park!) She was so excited to be there that her legs were kicking from the excitement. The one thing we were concerned about was the dirty tongues of the other dogs, but we figured with the front pack she would be high enough that they wouldn't come close . (Once we were there, we realized that she was getting too big for the frontpack because it was cutting off her circulation, so on to Plan B) While we were there we were able to see first hand how protective our dogs really are. They wouldn't leave our side and Sugar scared off any dog that came close to us or was in our walk way. Talk about Anti-Social! It was a lot of fun to walk around Deanna and watch her experience her new surroundings. We were there for about an hour or so and then left, but it was a nice break from the house. Posted by Picasa
