Let's Open Presents NOW!

So far, Deanna hasn't really paid much attention to the Christmas tree, which is great because we were a little worried about that. However, today she went right over to the tree and decided that she wanted to start opening up the presents. Out of all the bags and gifts, she picked out the bag from the jewlery store (she already has good taste!) and she walked around the entire house with the bag in hand. She then pulled out the box inside and was trying to figure out how to unwrap it. Jamie and I were laughing because we thought it was so cute. We are looking forward to seeing how she will react to Christmas!

Tupperware Party

Deanna has found the tupperware cabinet in the kitchen. It is the only cabinet that we can't childproff because it swivels, so we put the tupperware in there. She takes her time dumping all the tupperware onto the floor and then carefully puts it all back into the cabinet. Just when you think she has cleaned up her mess, she dumps it all back on the floor and starts over.

We found Santa's missing Reindeer!

 

Santa Who??

We took Deanna to go see Santa again this year and although she didn't cry, she wasn't too sure about the man in the Red Suit. She clung to Jamie very tightly as he brought her over to him. Santa tried to win her over with a smile and a candycane, but Deanna was not very convinced as you can see from the pictures.

First Steps!

Deanna took her first steps last Saturday (November 4th)! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera on hand, but was able to get a good video on my cell phone. She is getting pretty good at taking 5 and 6 steps at a time before she tumbles over. Every time she would take steps we would all clap for her, so now when she is done taking her steps, she claps for herself!! We will be posting pictures of her in action soon, so keep checking back.

Deanna the Bumblebee!

We took Deanna for her 1 year portraits this week! We had some fancy shots taken of her in a pretty dress and some taken in her Halloween costume. To be honest, the best shots were in her costume because the colors and backgrounds were beautiful! I am glad that we were able to get some good shots in because she was not really cooperating with the photographer. She was very happy and content, but insisted on doing the opposite of what we were trying to get her to. She didn't want to stay on the mat, wanted to play hide-and-seek behind the screen, wanted to climb on the camera, and chewed on everything she could. Thank goodness that the photographer and her assistants were patient. The were definitely working on "Baby Time"! We love our little Bumblebee!!

Birthday Girl!

Deanna's actual birthday was on Sunday, the 22nd. So, we sang for her and had cake again at our house. Her reaction was a little different this time as you can see from the picture. You gotta love the birthday girl!
