We created this blog so that our friends and family can watch our family grow and change from month to month. Every day brings on something new and we wanted to share every moment with you! The most recent entries start at the top.
We ventured out to the beach with Deanna again and this time we were more successful, although she only lasted about an hour. She really enjoyed sitting on the shore. As soon as we sat down, she quickly dug her hands into the wet sand. She would carefully examine her sandy hands and then dip them back into the sand for some more. She loved splashing around in the water with her hands and feet. It was really cute because she would hold her breath every time a wave crashed in. So, all in all we had a good day. Deanna splashed around, ate some sand, and went for a quick dip!
Since we live in Florida, we figured it was about time to get Deanna used to playing in the water. As most you know, our first beach and pool experiences were unsuccessful, so we decided to try her out in our hot tub in the comfort of our back porch. We cooled the tub down to a regular pool temperature, and slowly put her in. Before we knew it, she was splashing around like a pro!!
Yes, it is true though Deanna has been babbling sounds for the past few months, it wasn't until recently that she has been able to say "dadadadada". Jamie seems to think he has scored a victory, but I am not giving up yet!
Deanna was experimenting with the piano keys and sounds under the loving eye of her Great Grandmother Renee. Once she realized that she could make sounds by hitting the keys, she quickly began to play her own tune.
I took Deanna for her second photoshoot. She posed like the little princess that she is! She smiled on command without any complaints. These were just a couple of my favorites.
Deanna has finally broken down and is eating solid foods. For a while, she didn't want anything to do with them. Now, she can't get enough of them. She eats about 3 times a day and enjoys both fruits and veggies. Although she is eating well, she has trouble keeping her food in her mouth (as you can see from the pics). We all know that feeding time can be a little tedious, but Deanna amuses herself by grabbing the spoon and throwing it to the floor!
